To: Participants in the US–China Intellectual Property Protection Cooperation and Research Forum (September 2 and 3, 2009)
Thank you for your participation in our upcoming conference. The program is attached. You will see that we have an extraordinary group of participants and expect to have a very instructive and important program.
To guide your thinking about your comments to be addressed at the conference, I wanted to remind you that our overall theme is to examine 1) the needs of the US intellectual property (IP) community for greater knowledge and understanding of the Chinese IP system and 2) the ways that John Marshall’s new Chinese IP Resource Center can help to meet those needs through enhanced research, educational, and information dissemination programs. We are particularly interested in your thoughts from the special professional viewpoints that each of you represents. Collectively, we expect the conference presenters to describe the key actions of the Chinese IP Resource Center in aiding United States policy makers, judges, lawyers, academics, companies, and other IP stakeholders in better understanding and working with Chinese IP.
Many thanks for your contributions to our program. If you have further questions about the program, please contact Michele Bridges at 312.427.2737 ext. 581 or 6bridges@jmls.edu or Dorothy Li at 312/987-1414 or 8li@jmls.edu
