Is it free of charge ?
Sincerely yours,
Gady Desler
Dear Mr. Desler,
Thanks for your letter.
It is always my pleasure to answer questions in relation to IP issues. My replies to questions raised here only represent my personal opinions and they are free of charge.
As for the trademark registration procedure in China, pursuant to the PRC Trademark Law, you are entitled to file applications for trademark registrations in China since both China and Israel are the parties of the Paris Convention. However, you should appoint a trademark agency authorized by the State Administration of Industry and Commerce to deal with the application for you in China..
The trademark agency will help you to submit the application. If your application is accepted and meets the statutory requirements, your trademark will be published. If there is no opposition raised against your trademark registration application within the 3-month publication period, your trademark will be registered. The period of validity of each trademark registration shall be ten years and can be renewed continuously with ten years for each renewal.
I hope you find the above information helpful.
Best regards,
Judge Jiang
